6年生の英語の授業で、ソウルの2つの小学校との国際共同授業を行いました。昨年度から交流を行っている新踏（シンダプ）初等学校と、今回が初めての交流となる瑞二（ソイ）初等学校です。テーマは先日の九宜（クイ）初等学校の時と同じく、学校給食でした。
　新踏初等学校の児童は、日本語を頑張って練習して発表してくれました。萩原小学校の児童もそれに応え、一部、韓国語で発表しました。英語を介さず、相手の国の言葉で直接意思を伝えるという経験をすることができました。

　The International Joint Classes with two primary schools in Seoul were held in the Grade 6 English classes. The schools are Shindap Primary School, with which we have had exchangees since last year, and Seoi Primary School, with which this was our first exchange. The theme was 'school lunch,' which we already learnt with Guui Primary School the other day.
The pupils from Shindap Primary School practised hard and gave their presentations in Japanese. The pupils from Hagiwara Primary School responded by giving a part of their presentations in Korean. They were able to experience communicating directly in the language of their counterpart's country without using English.
